"EDA-solo" originated in 2004, stemming from the simple and real need to research a personal creativity, while remaining autonomous from external guides.
The most sincere way that I found to create and present an event, which I could recognize and defend as an author, was to start from my body, from that which is closest to me.
Discovering a deep resemblance to the woman Eda, I worked on my perception of her, of her traits and persona, which turned out to be mine as well.
Eda is a mirror, a pretext full of affection and inquiries.
Inspired by Eda, I focused on frustration and on the tension that is needed to overcome it.
On stage I play a character, from which I sometimes take distance: a woman on the edge of surreality, stuck facing solitude while yearning for the recognition of others, compression, explosion, tenderness, inquietude and the desire for lightness.
I do not wish to exhibit an extraneous life-subject, but rather I hope to evoke an existence that can somehow touch upon the cords of the spectator; my aim is to offer a portion of humanity that the audience can relate to as close to them.
